Ep 26: “Looper”

December 21, 2017

In this episode we discuss:

  • the time travel of Rian Johnson’s “Looper”;
  • editing;
  • theme;
  • the future;
  •  and much more!

“If the Universe came to an end every time there was some uncertainty about what had happened in it, it would never have got beyond the first picosecond. And many of course don’t. It’s like a human body, you see. A few cuts and bruises here and there don’t hurt it. Not even major surgery if it’s done properly. Paradoxes are just the scar tissue. Time and space heal themselves up around them and people simply remember a version of events which makes as much sense as they require it to make.” – Douglas Adams

    Starting thenpodcast now, but I know that I’m going to love it as it involves time travel! Is there a possibility of Primer in the future?

    Loved Interstellar and found you guys in Reddit! Love the podcast and thank you for making it!

      “Welcome to the party, pal!” A little Bruce reference for ya. Hope you dig this episode, it gets a little more tangled than normal. We definitely will cover Primer as I’m a huge fan of it, and I’m hoping to get a cool interview for it (not trying to be vague, just not sure who we’ll be able to get). We love our scifi, so expect some Never Let Me Go along with Attack the Block and Europa Report — which we WILL have an interview with the film’s science advisor thanks to a little serendipity — but Primer will jump up the list thanks to your comment!
