We stalk our way through James Cameron’s 1984 sci-fi/horror/action film “The Terminator” and discuss:
- visual storytelling;
- fx;
- robots & AI;
- and other such stuff and things and stuff.
“With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon. You know all those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, and he’s like, yeah, he’s sure he can control the demon? Doesn’t work out.“ – Elon Musk

This just didn’t feel quite futuristic!
Ok, you just called it on your episode… never mind
haha, yep! Excellent movie though, when Spike Jonze is on he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Watching “Where The Wild Things Are” and am torn. ….
Love the
… fulfillment of the book concept
… continuity of the difficulty inside the childhood- parenthood parralex
… powerhouse ensemble killing their voice overs
… the world created
… Karen O snd the Kids soundtrack
Can understand the complaints re:
… limited audience (not a kids film)
… being a bit of a downer
How would you sum up the experience of this film? Inquiring minds want to know!
haha! Agreed on all counts! The whole “not a kids film” thing didn’t bother me at all, and this strikes me as exactly something I would’ve personally loved as a kid (considering I loved Dark Crystal and other downer films). But the music, the story, performances, all just blew me away! I’m definitely ready for a new Spike Jonze feature.
